Crepusculum

Evening. Sofia G. and I were talking about how when learning a language (Greek for me, Spanish for her), without realizing it we make guesses from the context about what words mean, and figure out much later that we were way off. For me, it was πιρόγα. For her, it was the spanish crepusculo. I knew there was an English word that sounded the same but I had absolutely no idea what it meant. So I ended up laerning an English word at my Greek coffee hour!

Καπαρώνω

κλείνω, κάνω book, I lay claim to. When Sofia, Lori and I went to an event in support of Bernie Sanders, we claimed a corner table and Lori said let's kaparosei this table.
