A catalogue of new words I learn in Greek and English. This is the public blog of Joanna Eleftheriou (Ιωάννα Ελευθερίου). I welcome comments that help refine my understanding of these words' nuances and usage. Thanks!

στουπί -- I always knew this meant "drunk," but while reading about the hurricane lamp, I saw something about using it while patching up a tent with "stoupi" which apparently means, in addition to "drunk," oakum, tow, wad, wadding!!
oh, it also means "something hard," and the dictionary example is "when chicken breast gets cold, it becomes a "stoupi""
