διάζωμα
a section in an amphitheatre I feel perhaps more proud than I should that I REMEMBERED which song I'd heard this word in, but didn't know what it meant and never looked it up until today, when I heard it used after watching a play from the Epidaurus online. It's "The Concert."

Τσιμπούρι
I don't like to think much about these, but they came up during my lovely walk with Lily and Margarita. I learned from Lily that there are lots of ticks in Greece--they just don't carry Lyme's disease. And I learned the name in Greek!
