two words learned on the July 6th news! This one was an έφεση, which I got from the context since it was about Oscar Pistorius being sentenced to six years in prison, and the question of whether he would make an "εφεση." 

Somersault

Well, I did know one word for somersault, the funny butt-sault, κολοτούμπα, but apparently one word wasn't enough, and on the news today I learned the FORMAL word for somersault, κυβίστηση.
