Pulled muscle

θλαση - thlassee on Greek Webmd

I always hear this word when sports injuries are announced on the news. I think it's related to θλίψη, grief...
Θλίψη (thleepsee) comes  from θλίβω  (thleevo) < θλῶ (σπάω, συντρίβω) + φλίβω (σπάω, πιέζω)
two words break and pressure... break under pressure is the verb to grieve! So interesting.

It remains to be found out whether Θλαση is related.
